I can’t get enough. This is the expression I want to cover in this vocab episode of mine.
In fact, I can’t get enough of podcasting. That’s why I’ve set up this new section. I am the vocab-man Daniel Goodson.
If you like something very much and want a lot of it then you just can’t get enough.
You just can’t get enough of learning new vocabulary, that’s probably the reason why you tuned in on my brand new show.
Another example would be:
Fans of horror movies just can’t get enough of this sort of stuff. Me myself I can’t get enough of horror movies. But as a matter of fact as I haven’t the time anymore I rather listen to a horror movie podcast, of course in English. I ‘can’t get enough of that podcast.
If you like something you could use a simpler word like “love”, “adore”, “like”…
There are many songs as for instance “Just Can’t Get Enough” by Depeche Mode.
This is also a good trick when it comes to learning new vocab, listen more conscientiously to
music and especially be aware of the lyrics and the title. I am sure if you look up every song title you don’t understand your vocabulary will get a monster boost.
This was your vocab man Daniel Goodson.
Depeche mode – I just can’t get enough
